An international trade association, SMART strengthens the economic opportunities of our diverse membership by promoting the interdependence of the for-profit textile recycling industry segments and provides a common forum for networking, education and advocacy .

Jessica Franken, Government Affairs Director at SMART, spoke to BBC News on behalf of all signatories to the open letter to UN Environment Programme calling for more transparency and inclusive stakeholder engagement in its Circularity and Used Textile Trade Project.
