Only SMART can bring you unique networking opportunities with industry peers at events like the SMART Annual Convention and SMART Regional Meetings. Our events throughout the year put you face-to-face with people who not only understand your business but will help improve your bottom line.

Business travel expenses add up rapidly and increased time out of the office can negatively impact your business. SMART events streamline our member's travel plans by providing a networking forum for business partners, potential clients and vendors.

A 2008 Oxford Economic Study stated that for every dollar invested in business travel companies realize $12.50 in incremental revenue. SMART events provide a centralized location for members to gather and network that controls cost and maximizes travel.

Annual Convention

The SMART annual conference unites textile recycling peers for three days of networking via business sessions, receptions and golf tournament.

Our general session provides members with industry updates and educational offerings that speak to members current needs. SMART's devoted chapter meetings address specific concerns for post producer companies, recycled clothing companies, graders, and wiper converters and distributors. Although chapter meetings are geared towards issues that are directly related towards that industry segment, these meetings are open to all members. Regional Meetings

SMART hosts two regional meetings per year. These meetings are typically held in various North American cities and offer cost effective networking opportunities for members and prospective members. Regional meetings include a cocktail hour and dinner providing several hours of networking opportunities. Regional Meetings at times focus on industry issues and featured a speaker or round table discussions. Regional Meetings are strategically located near major airports for easy access. Many of our members spend an extra day visiting other SMART companies in the area. Some regional meetings are scheduled to coincide with related industry meetings to help members contain travel expenses and time out of the office.
